This is the oldest pin that I have in my collection. It was created in 1993.
Due to the age of the pin, it will take me awhile to find the history on its background.
With my guy being a Medic, and him having sort of a military background (his dad was military and stationed in England when he was born) I have a bit of soft spot in my heart for military medals.
I have also lived in So. Cal by Camp Pendleton, and now living in San Antonio, I live in a City with 5 military bases, but more on them on another post.
One of the things that people are not aware of is the fact that Fort Sam Houston is a base rich with history.
I understand the VA Medical System here is better then most. I also know that BAMMC has been designated as the only official Military Medical Training Facility in the country.
As I verify more of these details I am sure I will be editing this post.
